| Adventure Trekkers was founded as a college club for outdoors trips in 1980 by Rick Pratt while he was attending a summer camp in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. The organization thrived during those early college years, but became dormant until Rick met Josh in 1985 during an exhilarating mountain biking experience in the Moab, Utah area. After that trip, Josh and Rick made a commitment to share their experience and enthusiasm for exploring this awe inspiring area. Some years later we "revived" the Adventure Trekkers name.
